Quiet, Beautiful Views, Perfect Family Getaway!

La Perla Del Caribe was a beautiful, well-maintained property. We had 7 adults and two kids are Villa Pearl fit us perfectly. Note that two of the bedrooms are on the first floor and it is dark and a little musty down there. The main floor and deck were perfect. We spent most of our time hanging out in the living room, on the deck or at the pool. The view is exactly as shown, pool and beautiful ocean. You can either hop in the ocean from the retaining wall (it keeps the sargassum off the beach) or you can walk to the end of the wall and there is a little bit of beach access. My young kids loved walking around in the water because it's really shallow and the reef prevents big waves. Michaela took care of all of our needs from the minute we booked our trip and saw us off when we left. It was so nice to be able to have someone there to answer questions. Roberto, the activities director, was also so nice and I highly recommend going through him for snorkeling. His guide, Joe (I think), was highly knowledgeable and we saw turtles, squid, an eel and stingrays just a few minute boat ride away. There are also lots of good restaurants within a 5-20 minute golf cart ride, no need to go all the way into town every night (30 minute bumpy ride). Highly recommend La Perla del Caribe!

Perfect stay at Villa Pearl

My family and I had a perfect four-day stay at Villa Pearl. Michaela and her crew were outstanding and helped us plan our stay, including reserving a private chef, renting golf carts, and handling dozens of small requests along the way. Michaela’s bright and cheerful, yet professional, demeanor made her daily visits enjoyable. She was knowledgeable about the area and recommended several delicious and beautiful restaurants. My mother was unable to participate in several excursions, and Michaela checked in on her and made sure she was comfortable in the Villa, even reserving a massage on the balcony for mom. La Perla’s location can’t be beat and is a short golfcart ride away from numerous bars and restaurants. We look forward to our next visit to La Perla.

My family and friend just returned Feb 1 2023 from a week's stay at Villa Pearl in this beautiful place. Words can't describe the remarkable serene exotic vibe. The staff works beautifully together to be helpful and keep a very clean, safe and tranquil place thanks to the concierge, Michaela. She made many of our arrangements for great snorkeling (thank you Chocolate ,) golf cart, flights and more. A special thanks to Tropic Air who stayed open late to be sure we got to the island when our plane had a delay. It was my 80th birthday and we had chef Maria and her mom Deena make and serve a delicious Belizean meal to celebrate. This evening and the whole week will be a memory all of us will cherish.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Pearl. Michaela was present daily to assist with any house needs or excursion planning. She also booked our airline travel from Belize City to San Pedro.
Roberto was a joy. He is attentive and planned all of our water excursions. Michaela & Roberto are easily accessible, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The house and grounds were kept very clean. The entire staff- mainetenance, groundskeepers, security, etc- were friendly and helpful. The pier is awesome-- sit, relax, read your book & listen to the waves on the reef. It is also very convenient to leave for excursions straight from the pier. I recommend taking the boat to & from the airport. Portofino dinner was excellent.
Our group of 11 had a wonderful experience. Thank you for hosting us!! We hope to return to Villa Pearl.

We rented 2–5-bedroom villas for a group of 15 (couples and friends) for my husband's birthday and it was absolutely perfect. We wanted a cross between a resort and an Airbnb and that's exactly what we got at La Perla Del Caribe. The villas are spacious, beautiful, and unique. Michaela, the concierge was very helpful and responsive, messaging us on WhatsApp for any questions or needs. A little far north on the island but that didn't hinder the experience in any way, quiet and peaceful part of the island to stay on and simply made for fun golf cart rides into town. Very well priced for the level of accommodations. Highly recommend!

The accommodations were just as viewed in the pictures -- right on the beach with gorgeous sunrise views! There were kayaks and a paddle board to use on site, which was fun. We did end up renting a golf cart for convenience to explore & pick up our own groceries (which I'd recommend). Our host (Michaela) was fabulous & very responsive before & during our stay to make sure every detail was taken care of completely. Roberto set us up with a fishing and snorkeling tours which I'd highly recommend!! There is a great restaurant within walking distance (our favorite), and a couple that were recommended by staff in San Pedro City. Overall, very satisfied with this location, accommodations, and host team -- would highly recommend!

We had a large party of 11 staying in their largest villa, and from the moment we got in touch with them about the stay they were amazing. Michaela who looked after us during our stay was amazing - she created a whatsapp group for us to communicate with her at any time of the day, and no matter when we messaged her she would respond within minutes. She would also make a point of coming back each morning in person to make sure we didn't want for anything - and any time we did ask for something (creates of beer mainly!!) it turned up within 30 minutes, even just general groceries. She had someone waiting for each of our group as they landed at San Pedro airport to transport them to the villa - based on your preference of whether you wanted to go by taxi or boat.
Location wise, some people may think it's a little far outside of town, but I think it was in a great location. It was quiet enough to totally relax, with two amazing bars/restaurant just minutes away in either direction, plus it was just a short boat ride or golf cart ride down to San Pedro itself. Having it's own dock also meant that any water based excursions would come pick you up directly from the dock too.
A great experience and I have no doubt we will be back to stay there again.

Excellent place to visit fun beaches and great food. Make sure you visit Rojo the beach side bar, that place is fun. Make sure you rent a golf cart and go exploring, in town there are some great places to day drink while eating great food.

This place is beautiful, like a slice of paradise. The staff were extremely professional and beyond helpful from beginning to end. We stayed in Villa Pearl which was clean, welcoming and gorgeous. They had great amenities and activities available and helped planned anything you were interested in. We loved riding the bikes to the market and taking the golf carts exploring. We went for a wedding which was so well planned and beyond beautiful and we had the best time. We would definitely go back and have already recommended it to several friends!

We were somewhat unsure of how this resort/private home scenario worked. It is a combination of large and small privately owned homes that share common grounds and a pool. The landscaping and pool were very well cared for. There was always people cleaning, watering etc. The staff at the main office were SO HELPFUL and answered all the questions that we had.
Even the outside staff workers were extremely polite and helpful.
The view from our deck was AMAZING. We were a little worried that being so far from town would limit our activities. However, there were several great restaurants with in walking distance and the water taxi was always available to take us in to town.
The house had great common living space. We had a catered meal one evening and enjoyed the large dining room table. We had lots of early morning and late evening drinks on the deck.
The only suggestions we have are a few more chairs on the deck and a microwave for the kitchen.
Everything was very clean, plenty of towels and the washer and dryer came in handy.

As a family group of 10 ages 19-60- the Perla villa was perfect - ample common areas for cooking, dining and hanging out. Felix, the property manager, and his grounds staff were very, very helpful and attentive. Felix answered lots of questions via email in advance of the trip and booked golf cart (Island Adventures); snorkeling, boating (Blue Water) and SCUBA (Belize Daze) and helped us handle payments as everyone wanted cash and we needed to use credit cards. The villa was well appointed, clean and the grounds are immaculate. The first night we went out, we did not lock the doors and the security guard let us know that he kept a keen eye on the unit and encouraged us to lock up thereafter. Notwithstanding, the location felt safe and we had no problems at all in that area. An earthquake on an island off of Honduras caused slight tremors at 9pm and then a tsunami warning was issued. Felix, immediately answered my text and sent the watchman to discuss the situation with us. Frankly, it was the first time this had happened on the island so there were no protocols. When the warning was lifted at 11.30pm, he had the watchman come to tell us. This was a huge help and he and the staff get 5+ gold stars. A few things to know about the property: the water off the beach is shallow for nearly a mile to the reef. It is not a bathing location in the traditional sense; town is 25 min by golf cart -1/3 of the ride is on hard packed sand with lots of potholes. If you want to go anywhere beyond the few dining options that are walkable via the beach, you need a golf cart. There is a small about a mile away and they deliver. The unit had no supplies and given the high prices and need to go to town to buy items, we packed a lot of essentials. We brought powdered drink mix/staples/spices/side dishes so that we only needed to buy the main course. There was dish soap but no other cleaning or pantry items. The setting is small, intimate and private. Thanks Felix!!

We had a wonderful vacation at the La Perla resort. It was family friendly, we traveled with 4 families total. The grounds felt very safe, clean, and well maintained. Be sure to rent a golf cart. It's a pretty far walk to the closest market.

A huge thank you to the staff at La Perla del Caribe for making our stay at Villa Pearl so memorable. We were 5 couples travelling together and this expansive villa had plenty of space for all of us. We watched the sunset from the roof top terrace while sipping champagne. We had a poolside barbecue catered by a hired chef. A fabulous holiday!!!

We loved our stay in La Perla del Caribe's Villa Pearl! The home was spacious and comfortable with a great location near the pool and a lovely view of the ocean. The guest services manager, Felix, was fantastic! He arranged all of our excursions, travel details and even a pair of private chefs (sisters!) who cooked a wonderful Belize dinner for us in the kitchen. It is a bit far from San Pedro but there are several great restaurants nearby and we got around easily on the rented golf carts. The home was great for our family group of 10, and the property is beautiful.

I did a lot of research before I booked with LaPerla, we were 2 families totaling 10 people ages 17 to 50, we stayed in 5 bedroom Pearl. This has got to be the best place there! Perfect setting and location, I emailed a head and asked that beer and certain amenities be in the house upon arrival and they were. There was always someone available if you had any questions or needs. Now that the road is so well developed the distance from town was not an issue. This was a dream vacation with a blended family. Our next adventure I would like to go somewhere other than Belize (have been 3 times) but I have yet to find a location and comfort that this place provided us, I cannot say enough about this place! Privacy, amazing pool, beautiful location, complete package!
