Family reunion in paradise!

Our group of siblings and spouses (8 total) spent a delightful week at Ruby Villa. We love being on and near water, not looking for a city vibe. Michaela and her staff were very helpful as needed, Roberto provided excellent snorkeling, diving, and a Mayan excursion. Big highlight was the day we fished and snorkeled for our own lunch of conch ceviche, fish cooked with fresh vegetables, potatoes and corn prepared by Top and Brio. We found good restaurants within walking distance, used a golf cart a couple of days to explore further. Ruby Villa was clean and comfortable . Minor irritations included a non-working dishwasher and no safe for valuables, and some window screens with large gaps allowing mosquitoes in. Pool was lovely and the white sand grounds well cared for. Sea grass does cover the beach front. We did not swim or snorkel from the beach or dock.

Party of 8 stayed in Villa Ruby for a week... 2 adults and 6 college kids. Plenty of room and house is designed perfectly for a group. Pictures of house are accurate and everything was just as described. Even though there are other houses on resort we rarely saw anyone else and felt like we had place to ourselves. Michaela was excellent at checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. Location is fairly far North, but we knew that from past visits and wasn't a problem for us. Couldn't ask for anything different...

My husband, myself, our daughter and our son-in-law attended our nephew's wedding. Congratulations Joey and April! Everything was perfect. The Villas are large, beautiful, clean and have a view of the Caribbean Sea. Michaela was wonderful before, during and after our trip. She is available 24/7. She stops by daily to see if you need anything. She made sure we got to and from the resort efficiently. My daughter and I needed to get back to the resort unexpectedly and Michaela had a taxi in San Pedro within 5 minutes to get us back. The pool was wonderful, and the grounds are beautifully kept. They have kayaks available to use. The weather was perfect! 80's during the day and it was cool at night. We highly recommend La Perla!

This villa was big enough to accommodate our 7 guests and plenty of rooms for gatherings. Tile work in the bathrooms looked great. The staff were friendly and made our occasion very special. For critiques- we were attacked by mosquitos every time we stepped outside, no matter how much bug spray we had on; one of the toilets kept clogging; one of the showers had low pressure; one of the sliding doors was stuck open

We had a group of 10 on a family vacation. La Perla Del Caribe was perfect. Perfect location, a short golf cart ride to San Pedro yet able to walk to 3 nearby restaurants. The house was perfect and the grounds beautiful, well kept. The staff is very nice and ready to help with anything. Marlin took great care of us. He assisted with our excursions and gave us ideas of things to do. We felt very well cared for at La Perla.

Villa Ruby fantastic!

La Perla Del Caribe was absolutely amazing. Our group of seven friends stayed in Villa Ruby for an entire week to celebrate my 40th birthday. Not only did Michaela help me organize our local flights, taxis, golf carts, sailing trip, private chef and massages months before we even arrived, she made sure that she checked in with us every day to see if we needed extra water, ice, kayaks, and towels. She greeted us on our very first day in a way that made us all feel special and cared for. Michaela even surprised us by decorating the villa (while we were away in town) with "happy birthday" decorations for our last night. She was incredible! The grounds of the property are clean and pristine -- away from the bustle of downtown San Pedro. There is a full view of the ocean (and sunrise) from Villa Ruby and the pool is just a few steps away. While the pool is shared with different villas, we almost always had the pool to ourselves. Golf carts are definitely necessary but the trip is not nearly as bad as others have described. It was a fun and quick 20 minute trip into San Pedro. Just watch out for the many pot holes. :) We also were able to take the carts to visit Secret Beach about 15 minutes away - definitely worth visiting! We had Chef Sarita prepare breakfast every day for our group, as well as a few lunches and dinners. She was THE BEST! Chef Sarita made our trip unforgettable. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, Chef Sarita was kind, warm and shared personal stories and details about Belizean culinary traditions and culture. Be sure to ask for the fry jacks or bread pudding for breakfast and splurge on the banana leaf wrapped grilled fish for dinner! Tips: Be prepared to bring cash to tip housekeeping at the end of your stay, as well as cash tips for the gentleman who help bring your groceries or luggage to your room. We also tipped Michaela, as well as Chef Sarita, in addition to the expected meal costs.

We loved our stay here. They thought of everything to make your vacation as enjoyable as it can be. We felt catered to the entire time. Makayla and her staff were all amazing. They got and delivered anything we needed from items to the grocery store to liquor to gas for our golf carts and to asking for coconuts cut down the tree, they took care of everything. Hands down the best trip we’ve had and we would stay here again in the future.

This was the most amazing vacation we could have asked for. First off, Michaela was awesome from before we even left Arizona. She was in contact with us every step of the way. From the moment we landed at San Pedro, her staff had us covered. Throughout our stay, the La Perla staff was so attentive, pleasant and accommodating that we had everything we needed taken care of. They took care of dinner reservations, booking our excursions, scheduling massages and pedicures.
The property is kept in pristine condition daily. From the sand being raked, to patios and steps being swept, we were so impressed with the cleanliness of the whole property. We stayed in Villa Ruby and it was a beautiful, fully appointed with everything we needed. Would highly recommend this resort and will definitely return.

Not even sure where to start. The villa Ruby was excellent.. Big and spacious three floor with 5 bedrooms. The host Michaela was wonderful and very nice. She was available whenever I needed something. The view from this location was excellent, Ocean front view. Will definitely come here again and highly recommended as well.

Property was gorgeous, but above all the staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. House was large, clean, and very tranquil. Little far away from bars and restaurants so I recommend getting a golf cart rental. The water taxi from the end of the dock is also a nice and convenient way for transportation. Michaela went above and beyond to ensure we had our every want taken care of and responded very quickly. Grounds were kept beautiful and everyone was very friendly.

The home is beautiful and spacious enough for 3 families. The property is kept immaculate; including the pool and the beach. The property is 50 years from the beach. But the view is obstructed by the palm trees. The property manager was A+; available 24/7 with all of our needs. Maintenance hoped to it as well. However, cant give this stay 5 stars b/c for a “beach vacation” there were not enough towels to keep a family of 9 supplied....the expectation was you do you own laundry. The laundry was part of the house but you had to go outside to the back of the house to use it. Although housekeeping was obligated to do our towels daily, they used our laundry to do others towels! WHAT? Housekeeping not so accommodating or friendly.

Perfect 40th Birthday at Villa Ruby

We selected the Villa Ruby to celebrate one of my best friend's 40th birthdays. There were 9 of us total, friends and family. This villa was perfect for us! The villa is located on the quieter end of the island which is exactly what we wanted. There was more than enough space, it was beautiful and clean. Unfortunately we couldn't swim at the beach due to the seaweed however there is a pool on the property and we took a trip to Secret Beach. I definitely recommend renting a golf cart to go into town and to get around on the island. Also, the Sundiver bar and restaurant a couple of doors down from the villa is great. Be sure to go on Sunday for the bonfire and reggae band. I have been talking about Villa Ruby nonstop since my return and would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in one of the beautiful homes for two weeks in the begining of June - Every day we would kayak out to the reef and snorkel. It was so amazing. Up the beach is a great bed and breakfast and down the beach is rojo- a fun place to have a few cocktails.

A true vacation

The week with family and friends was wonderful. Alexa and Helmer were always responsive and helped make our stay special. The house is over 30 minutes from town so it was a nice place to really unwind - not much is in walking distance. To be noted, we were there in early June and the sea grass, or was it sargasso, was abundant so no swimming in the ocean from the beach at the home and it was a bit smelly, but nothing that could be controlled - staff were out there raking it out of the ocean every day - and bug spray is a must - mosquitoes feasted on some of us. The marine life in the reef was AMAZING! The snorkeling, night snorkeling, snuba, scuba, fishing were why we were there and Amergris Caye did not disappoint. And some of us also had lovely massages under the palapa on the dock, and went to a chocolate making class in was a true vacation

Our stay at La Perla was fantastic with just a few qualifiers. Villa Ruby was a great house for a family or a group of friends, although a couple of the bedrooms would be better suited for kids than an adult couple. The grounds were immaculate and the staff fantastic, however, there is no way they can keep up with removing the seagrass from the beach as it is a MAJOR problem with the entire coastline this time of year. The water is beautiful & the fishing is world class, but the beaches leave much to be desired.The last couple miles of "road" out to La Perla is pot hole filled & an extremely rough ride in a golf cart, so be prepared!

We stayed in Villa Ruby for a week in July. It was our first time to Belize and we loved it. La Perla is away from all the noise in San Pedro Town yet close enough if we wanted to go into town. We rented a golf cart, went to Secret Beach, Rojo Lounge and the Palapa Bar. Great times with great friends. The staff could not have been more helpful.
