Dining in San Pedro, Belize

casa picasa

San Pedro, Belize is a destination nothing short of paradise. Full of culture, Belize welcomes travelers from around the world to its flawless beaches, world-class diving, tropical rainforests, majestic Mayan ruins and delicious Caribbean cuisine. Here are three restaurant options on the island that are worth mentioning.

Casa Picasso

For a chic dining experience in San Pedro, Casa Picasso has a laid back artsy flare. The menu features global tapas made with ingredients such as local fresh fish, meats and produce. Malaysian Chicken Satay, Wahoo Sesame Bites and Beef Carpaccio are just a few tapas items on the menu. A Martini and Wine bar surrounded by an artful setting makes Casa Picasso an eclectic experience.

Elvi’s Kitchen

Next we come to the most famous restaurant on Ambergris Caye, Elvi’s Kitchen. Beginning as a Burger Isle take-out stand in 1974, Elvi and her family have created an International Gold Star Award winning restaurant. As much as we love the humble history of Elvi’s we love the fresh seafood even more! Crab claws, lobster, calamari, scallops, mussels, shrimp, conch and fish are all included on the menu. Ceviche and buffalo wing appetizers with flavors that you will not forget.

Blue Water Grill

For a beachfront dining experience everyone on the island heads to Blue Water Grill. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner you can find a variety of menu items such as Huevos Rancheros, Honey Lime Tequila Fish Tacos and Cashew Crusted Snapper. Pair daily specials throughout the week including Sushi Tuesdays and Thursdays with a fun social atmosphere it’s not hard to see why Blue Water Grill is the place to be!
